The Educator’s Room: Teachers are Exhausted

Link here. Thoughts? This writer’s perspective seems to align with the liberal movement for education reform (blames income inequality, low teacher pay, segregation, and lack of curricular innovation). The aggravating thing about this article and so many like it is that the author fails to present solutions. I, personally, agree with most of the statements that this writer makes – I don’t think teachers are to blame. But what can we do besides shift blame away from teachers?

  1. I think we need to reform our tax code to combat socioeconomic inequality if we ever want to address the achievement gap.
